I have followed multiple threads of all the schools I have applied to and I haven't seen anyone turn one of them into their own personal twitter page..LawsRUs wrote:Ah okay Dean.lawpractice wrote:How many people at ASW were stuck with this annoying fella?? You mean socializing with potential peers? Please, if you have a problem with anyone on itt, just leave the thread.lawpractice wrote:I have followed multiple threads of all the schools I have applied to and I haven't seen anyone turn one of them into their own personal twitter page..LawsRUs wrote:Ah okay Dean.lawpractice wrote:How many people at ASW were stuck with this annoying fella?? Re: USC (Gould) c/o 2018
If you want an on-topic discussion, there is a forum for that.
If you want to steer the thread into a different kind of conversation, please do. I'm just trying to get to know people. What is the big deal? Plus, I'm going away in three weeks, so you don't have to put up with me.
This is not how TLS works. Nobody can control this shit. Not you, not me, not admission officers at USC or UCLA. If you try to, the shit gets worse. I could probably say some nasty things, but I am not.
/end rant

Re: USC (Gould) c/o 2018
From having lived in a couple of places in KTown, I'm trying to stay close to Vermont Ave. because I don't have a car and there are some bus lines that go straight to campus. (I'm not sure if you are bringing your car.) I wouldn't go west of Western Ave. The area enclosed by 8th St, Western Ave., Irolo St., and Olympic Blvd., I've found to be a little sketchy at night ime.Hikkomorist wrote: Any pointer on which general areas are safer/nicer within Koreatown? I'm sure others can give you more information.
eta: I apologize for my rant earlier. That was totally uncalled for and unnecessary, and was partly a result of some of the things that have been happening on TLS. So sorry.

Laws is quite honestly the most pleasant person I've talked to on tls.NoBladesNoBows wrote:I assume you're talking about Laws? Re: USC (Gould) c/o 2018
It's tough to say because it can vary dramatically block by block. The further west you go, the nicer it gets. The further south you go, the sketchier it gets. I would personally stay west of Vermont and north of 7th. All of the Wilshire corridor is nice, so anywhere within a block north or south of Wilshire should be fine, though you'll be looking almost exclusively at high rises. The small part of Koreatown that's east of Vermont is actually pretty nice, but it abuts a neighborhood that I think is a little sketchy so I would personally avoid it. In all honesty, though, it's probably fine.Hikkomorist wrote:I just wanted to thank you for this, albeit a bit late - it was really helpful. I lived in Korea for about a year-and-a-half, so I don't think the cultural adjustment will pose a problem. Any pointer on which general areas are safer/nicer within Koreatown? I completely understand if you don't want to get into it, and thanks again for the starting point!

Question, is it before 5/1 or by the end of day 5/1 that the deposits are due?
