Anyone considering taking a 1l prep course?

I was considering the BARBRI Law Preview class, but I did some research on it and it sounds like in the end it's not worth it unless you have absolutely zero understanding of the law and what to expect from law school. Which, if you're on TLS, is probably not the case. It sounds like it might be worth it if you can go for free, and USC does offer a scholarship for it, but personally I'm going read GTM and some other stuff and call it a day.

Negotiated a bump with little leverage. Worth it to try to negotiate again before the first deposit or best to place my first deposit and hope to gain leverage later in the cycle?

Fwiw, I had a lower offer at a second school that I was considering, yet I was able to get a bump from USC, but I also had a compelling argument to go to this second school. Try to distinguish your law school choices as much as possible.

Looking around TLS, it seems that GTM is definitely the way to go.

I tried reading GTM. Got to 50 pages, but couldn't finish the damn book. Will try again once my UG school is over, but no guarantees that I will finish it.

If you look at mec's post history they are deleted which means Mec is likely matriculating somewhere. Otherwise he/she probably would have if not attending.
