Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
does anyone else keep emails that contain important things to do open on their desktop for more than 24 hours to remind themselves to do the task later? i have at least 4 emails that are a few days old. i just keep them open for days on end, hoping one day i'll accomplish what is required of them.

Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
No I just flag them, although that stopped being effective because half the time I just unflag them a few days later without doing anything, hoping that I'll never hear about the issue again, so maybe I should switch to doing what you're doingFloridaCoastalorbust wrote:does anyone else keep emails that contain important things to do open on their desktop for more than 24 hours to remind themselves to do the task later? i have at least 4 emails that are a few days old. i just keep them open for days on end, hoping one day i'll accomplish what is required of them.

I've just stopped answering my phone. It's amazing that 90% of the time people will call once, maybe twice, then give up and figure out their problem on their own.

Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
I finally confronted my gossipy coworkers. I'm shaking right now from the accumulated 1 year anger, but damn, does it feel good!
Coworker 1 walks up to Coworker 2: "Is it true that That One is leaving?" (In Spanish)
Me, standing at my desk, 20 feet away: "That One has a name. And yes, I am leaving. Your sources are correct for once." (In Spanish)
Her face. Oh god, her face. She had a thousand heart attacks right at that second. Blubbering fool did NOT know what to say, and Coworker 2 just sat there dumbfounded.
After 30 seconds of being flustered, Coworker 1: "Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Urghhh. Burgleee blurghhh. Uh, well, are you?" (In English)
I just turned around and walked away. Heard her say to 2, "Well, I just wanted to know, GAWD. I guess I'll go now." As if it's ok for her to gossip about someone else in a different language and never, ever refer to them respectfully. She walks away, and I walk back to my desk, and Coworker 2 says to me, "That was a good one." I told him the reason I don't speak another language at work is because it's strictly prohibited in the Code of Conduct (not because I was setting them up for a bust, or anything like that). He just nodded and looked down.
Happy Wednesday, TLS! It's going to be an awkward as hell month for This One, but damn, I feel so gangsta.

Lmao! I've never been so patient with a long con in my life, but it totally paid off. If she comes at me later about putting her on the spot like that, I'll just remind her of the 11 months of gossip that she dished.

Did you talk to your boss or just send the resignation out of nowhere?Wahrheit wrote:2 hours to end of work day again in the UK and still no action on my resignation. This is seriously weird.

Thanks, yall! It was an extremely off the cuff reaction on my part, but when I saw her walking towards my coworker, I knew what the conversation was going to be. Glad I got it off my chest.

That sounds amazing. I'm glad the long con was worth it.

Think I'm about to get fried cus baby daddy boss left a bunch of stuff for me to do and I can't answer all the questions about why things were done that way. I just did what I was told.
