They were hit and miss for me. I booked a closed book class but also got my lowest grade in LS in another one.PeanutsNJam wrote:closed book exams are actually my favorite because then I know the bar is lower

Re: 2Little 2Late
Yeah it turns out that was the case w my exam (first closed-outline exam I've taken). It was a lower bar for everyone so i don't think it really will mean anything in terms of my grade. But at least it wasn't a super stressful exam taking experience like I expected.PeanutsNJam wrote:closed book exams are actually my favorite because then I know the bar is lower

Re: 2Little 2Late
I had my first two experiences with closed book exams this semester. I hated the first and the second was breezy. If the law of law school exams applies, I got and A and C+ respectively.LoganCouture wrote:Yeah it turns out that was the case w my exam (first closed-outline exam I've taken). Going forward, I will avoid them at all cost.

I got my first two grades back, Intro to Criminal Practice (A-) and Evidence (B-). I hate my school's curve.
The only open outline exams I've had here were for my LLm courses and my Torts midterm. CivPro I/2, Evidence, and BusOrg 1 let us write in our statute books, so I guess that's open outline'ish too.

Wow. I am anticipating receiving grades (likely) in 2017.RCSOB657 wrote:I got my first two grades back, Intro to Criminal Practice (A-) and Evidence (B-). I hate my school's curve.

Re: 2Little 2Late
Dude. Do you not think we are all broke? I have to borrow money from my mom to pay for rent this month and I'm already all on loans. My car got towed and broke down at the beginning of the semester and I had to pay for a bunch of other shit, so now I'm all out of money. And I even worked 3 different part time jobs throughout the semester to try and make up the difference. The woe is me schtick is fucking oldHikikomorist wrote:Seriously, though, I'm so poor it hurts.buckiguy_sucks wrote:Inb4HikkoAsksForMoneyWhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote: But if you got a literal C+, I'll buy you a beer.

Being broke, I'd appreciate the other person not being broke. Poor people shouldn't date other poor people, because I'm pretty sure that's how you get intergenerational poverty. Think of the children, please.Kinky John wrote:am I the only one who's shipping ITFR and Hikko?

Re: 2Little 2Late
If I got a C+, I will buy everyone a beer because I'll want to enjoy the ride as I sink! Some wonderful timing, BIGS. It is difficult to get in before Hikko on a thread that implicates money/free stuff. And Hikko, where does it hurt? Depending on the location, exams might be the cause, not the poor.Hikikomorist wrote:Seriously, though, I'm so poor it hurts.buckiguy_sucks wrote:Inb4HikkoAsksForMoneyWhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote: But if you got a literal C+, I'll buy you a beer.

If I don't find motivation for my last exam in the next three days, I may be looking at the worst semester in TLS history.

Any suggestions on a Supplement for Corps? The E&E seems way too dense to be useful.

I'll grant that I probably shouldn't have made that joke about intergenerational poverty, but I think the idea that I shouldn't consider myself poor is ridiculous. I have a negative net worth and live in borderline uncomfortable conditions to save money. The fact that I'm not quite homeless doesn't mean I'm not poor by any reasonable metric.

Define borderline uncomfortable. And poor because a grad student =\= poor.Hikikomorist wrote:I'll grant that I probably shouldn't have made that joke about intergenerational poverty, but I think the idea that I shouldn't consider myself poor is ridiculous. Emanuel's was helpful to me. Especially b/c my prof assigned long cases from the Chancery -- it was much easier to rely on the fact summaries and basic rules in the supplement than read through tons of dense opinions.Dr. Nefario wrote:Any suggestions on a Supplement for Corps?
