Good night sweet GPA, good night SA offer...I'll get a B at least...right?
Lol I had a closed book corp exam...3.5 hour limit, class is called something else, and 4500 word limit. If we're in the same class, I didn't get near 4500 either...
If we also took the same exam, I don't want to bring it up at all haha.

This--along with everything I missed--are all that went through my head as I ran back to my apartment. To cry in the shower. With a pint of ice cream. And my blanket. And a chair. And a paddle game.
I don't buy this for one second. you did great! I have zero doubts.
I have zero doubts. You should have doubts about me. I purposefully left "I've" out from the bolded. This will be the worst exam he has ever graded. It might be the worst exam any professor has ever graded. He is nice enough that I should get a C out of it.
You're confidence is likely a sign that you crushed it.

this every day. i just think about how much work i have to do and then spend two hours planning my escape hatch in the event of a russian invasion instead of actually doing said work.

They are an odd duck.
It does not seem to reflect how anyone is supposed to use this knowledge in the future. Profs talk about analysis, but they seem to grade on data dump more so than analysis, bonus points for recalling teachers favorite case trivia (even more so if the information has little to no value in the world outside of a law school class). Tack on artificial time restraints and occasional restricts on reference material and there is almost no end to the fun.

yeah. it's also still so weird to me to have basically 0 way to predict how i'll do - the exams i thought were shittiest sometimes ended up surprising me, the exams i felt okay about i actually did not great. I have yet to do well on an exam i felt good/okay about. and i get that the nature of the curve makes it that way but it's still very unsettling

I have found that I am less able to predict my grades in law school than I was in undergrad or during my other grad school work. I suspect that it has to do with a mixture of law school professors being hung up on things that I can't find it in me to care about and the curved grading. I might not know jack about a topic, but as long as my peers are as lost as I am then it is game on.
It seems that my best grades in law schools are in topics that I would not consider myself strong in.

I call it my garage, but it's more like the garage that I get to use at my Dad's house.
The tools are mine though, so there's that much at least.

I'm either gonna discretionary C this exam or hit median. That is the true range of my ability.

Nope, nope. I want them never. Things were going well and then 2L happened.
I am debating not looking. I figure if I do badly enough that I am academically suspended, someone will send me an email... other than that I am not sure how it will make much difference.

About to do my first studying for exam on Wednesday. Haven't done any for my exam on Thursday. This train wreck happened in Palsgraf territory - at the station.

I am in for this bet.
Is this open to anyone, and can I get cash instead of beer?

Instead of working on my Professional Responsibility paper, I wasted the day writing 16 opposition motions in the goof ball civil lawsuit that I am a (pro se) defendant in.
Good news/bad news, my other paper ('appellate' motion for advocacy class) had its due date pushed from the 14th to the 20th. It was going to be seriously half-assed, but it would have been done. Now I will likely end up spending several extra evenings on it, which may improve the paper, but increase my general level of bitterness.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
