Is that kind of like walking out of an exam thinking "Well that wasn't as shitty as I thought it would be..."?
I think so? Or possibly more like, the reason I don't want to talk to anybody about the exam is that there's a good chance I made up all of the issues I saw, and everyone else saw the real issues. Like, it is an actual possibility that I wrote 4000 words on issues that weren't there but I thought were there.

Fed Courts is some strange stuff.
Your description of Fed Courts piqued my interest. I found this http://prawfsblawg.blogs.com/prawfsblaw ... ourts.html. I now understand your description and will only take this course if there are 100+ students in the class.
So... even the profs don't know wtf is happening in fedcourts?

Hoping the same, but for biglaw employers to not no offer me.

ETA: Secured Transactions prof doesn't want us to cite to the UCC for the exam. First time I've ever felt better about an exam instruction.

Can I join this group? My 8-hour Copyright take home simultaneously felt too long and too short. I'm pretty sure that means I lost.
The exam that kicked my ass was also copyright. ..ran out of time and generally did shitty which sucks.

Good night sweet GPA, good night SA offer...I'll get a B at least...right?

this is terrifying. I don't think I wrote more than 2000 words on a single exam last year...

I can't word vomit, my typing skills are much to slow. I have to selectively choose my words.

Can you give me a rundown of how to do this? By tomorrow? Closed book, word limited, in-class racehorse exam. The first two factors weigh against me. Vomit means you don't have to evaluate strength of arguments. I like vomit, especially under a time crunch. Is it too late to drop a class?

You got this. The key with most words limits is to not overthink the problem. (i.e. if your prof were to tell you in a secured transactions exam that attachment occurred, don't go down the line of attachment at all.) The hard part about word limits is when you find really complicated issues that the prof didn't mean to put in there. In that case, pay homage to that error in a sentence or two and more on. Also closed book makes the word limit better unless they expect you to cite cases/code.

FWIW: I never bother to really cite cases/code unless its something we discussed at length. Probs why my con law score was so low since thats the only area of law where all the cases matter.

Exams this time around seem to be way more stressful to me. As a 1L I started with a 0.0 GPA and could only go up. Now I have to maintain my grades...

I did not have this. Worst exam ever written. I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with my brain that cannot turn the vomit off. But I realized I needed to, so I tried. It made for a muddled mess of letters, and I don't think any of it made sense. Possible discretionary C territory. Saturday exams are terrible, but a little less so since "days of the week" don't really matter.

This--along with everything I missed--are all that went through my head as I ran back to my apartment. To cry in the shower. With a pint of ice cream. And my blanket. And a chair. And a paddle game.

It'll turn out better than you feel! But I know the feeling. I'm preparing for a monday exam I am doomed for. Hasn't been taught by this prof in forever, supplements don't exist for this entire area of law, and I can't study without having a book that dumbs down the law for me.

Agreed. Spoon feed me info and tell me how you want me to write the thing - i.e. model answers. I'm worthless without both of those.
