Congrats! Didn't choose to do OCI this year since I'm not sure what I wanna do with my life yet, so happy to hear that those who are doing OCI....so far so good!

If you don't know, that seems like a good reason to do OCI.

Grades are a thing + have interest in the public sector which is also why I said no-CI.

JC, I am not going to do 13 week internship again. All my classmates are posting their "I'm done with my summer at XYZ" and I've still got a week. I left 2 days after the last final and won't even have a week back before classes start again.

For unpaid summers the move is almost certainly to go shorter and I learned this the hard way. 10 weeks was certainly too much can't imagine 13

Yep yep. It's not worth it though. Exams 3x a year is hell on earth. And starting the summer late kinda sucked bc it was a really tight turnaround from exams ending and work starting.

I friggin' loved the quarter system until my summer job AND our write-on competition started the day after my last exam (on June 6th).

We still don't have our course list, leading us to tell interviewers at OCI that we're taking "classes in things" and "interesting stuff" that "feels right at the time"

Penn doesn't really have the quarter system but we got our class list weeks ago and don't start until Sept. 6th.
