Law firms and other research sites were on board with collaborating. We had a great platform, but it was only usable by HLS c/o 2017. (They all used it extensively.). This year I have the opportunity to open it up a bit more.
What do you want to know about law firms?
Payscales, bonuses, average stay time of associates, partnership odds (in the form of a %), exit options, offer rates, strongest practice groups
Look at number of associates and see how much more leveraged NYC firms are than southern ones. The southern ratio is 1:1 and the NYC is more like 10:1
profits per partner is over 5 million at the top NYC firms, they must have so many clients that they cant hire enough associates
PPP in the south is 500k on avg; your chances of making partner at a big southern firm are lik 50%

It is indeed! I have a 5-day window between hitting submit for write-on and starting up my internship. I finally saw "Civil War" and I might see "Apocalypse" tomorrow. I also rediscovered "reading for fun." Too bad the dream has to die soon...

Haha apologies. There's usually not a class year employment thread until after I'm done.

I'm sorry to hear that! Does your summer job have predictable hours so you know when you can do write-on? If it makes you feel better, I am also spending significant portions of my 5-day break in ~90 degree heat spraying anti-mosquito juice and weedkiller in the backyard.

I think the worst part was the page limit - aside from the 300+ pages of reading. Too many topics were implicated to feel like I even did a halfway-decent job covering the law.

Yeah, it should be predictable but I can't imagine that my brain will be at all workable from 6-11pm. I'm not a "think all day" person. Thinking about skipping it because I don't think I will do that well. Most people from my school are in a similar situation, but most of those people are better at working hard than me.

Sounds like a good excuse to me

My Dearest Annabelle,
The war rages on. Morale is low. The casualties are many. It is day 21. I feel the war is lost, but today is the day of reckoning.

Grades are in. Now I can relax for the rest of the summer...
...or for about a week until I can't justify not following the Career Office's advice to start getting ready for OCI.
Fuck me. This will never end.

What class did you get a grade for?! I just looked and have nothing listed.

I just picked something super narrow and didn't read everything.
Also I finished it like 3 minutes before the deadline so there's that.
And you will be on Main. I will look up towards the hilltop and say hi from the lowly journal I ranked 5th!
ETA: You should feel 1/5 of the way to super-euphoric?
