Cards option? Euchre, hearts, poker. Not huge on video/board games either but I'm always down for Monopoly/Risk/Catan.

I'm not a huge video game guy either, the few I do play tend to be more single player kind of stuff. Now once we get into card/board games that more my thing. Ticket to ride, dominion, alhambra, D&D, etc.

this is false. I used to have to hang out at my grandmother's house as a kid all the time, and she had a Nintendo 64 with only one game - Mario Party 2. summer of my second grade year I became a master of that game, especially platform peril and hexagon heat. face lift was my favorite challenge game. I don't have a whole lot of talents, but by god Mario Party 2 mini games are one of them!

Why not? It has much the same purpose and effect (for the user). One will arguably be more useful for Tinder meetups, though.

I've wanted to try Eclipse. My current group isn't that into sci/fi genre but me and you might have to get a game going.

That'd work for me. I like it b/c it's got good strategic depth and it lasts ~3.5/4 hours consistently with 6 people, which makes it just the right amount of time for a solid board game night.

$200 transportation cost. Details on ASW site.

Yeah I wasn't clear on that. SLS outright says hotels not included. Seems a little strange.

Maybe i am missing something. It seems that what makes the most sense is that you offer a stipend applicable to all expenses related to ASW - or at the very least include hotels. What is the rationale behind only limiting the stipend to transportation?

Are you aware that you have the ability to stay with a current student for ASW, and that this is the norm?

To be honest I haven't piled through all the school's ASW's to see which offer staying with current students. I imagine that such offers are the norm.

From my experience at the ASW's last year, only one person did so, however.

Just was planning on burning frequently flyer points for Chicago and using the stipend towards a hotel. But if I can't, then I can't. Thank you very much for your help!
