Finally got my book--and it's awesome! In Defense of Women: Memoirs of an Unrepentant Advocate, written and personally signed to me by Nancy Gertner, a former federal judge and current professor at Harvard. Jesus. That's cool. But she, personally, got her JD from Yale. Soooo.... doesn't exactly help with the decision making process. What a powerhouse, though. If I go to Harvard, definitely taking her classes.

Early February, like 2-3. So it definitely took a while!

JS2 3/8, got my packet yesterday... no book though, and I am as local as you can get, so ymmv.

Got my book today (I was out of town for a few days, so I'm not sure when it was actually delivered). JS2 was on 2/3. My book is from the same professor who emailed me. Very impressed at how well they line these up with people's interests.

Has it taken people the full two weeks after finaid document completion to hear back about the award? If so, I can stop neurotically checking my HLS email every hour for the time being..

Just set up the email account to forward to your primary email. That way you don't need to check anything differently than you normally would.

Yay! Aid came through and it makes loans almost manageable. H is actually something I can consider without violent nausea due to debt stress.

Cost of attendance definitely put a damper on my acceptance excitement. Haven't submitted my application yet, but I'm not optimistic with parents that barely meet the no-aid line.
