Needing to eat or sleep is such an annoying necessity.

Our "criminal law" class is really just statutory interpretation in disguise. We just finished murder and I honestly couldn't tell you what makes a man guilty other than somebody died.

I made a point to use case names/specific UCC & Restatements cites, and it paid off in spades, even though only one of our professors made it clear that that's what they wanted. Even if professors don't say they want it, I think using case names shows that you're familiar with the material and understand which cases apply to the given situation. I don't think it's entirely ridiculousAttorney-at-Birdlaw wrote:Giving points out for case names seems ridiculous in my eyes.unsweetened wrote: I think it depends on how the exam is graded. In crim law, we got points for case names. In torts, it didn't matter. Part of the reason my crim outline was so long. If you spot the issue, cases should be grouped under each fork of the analysis.

Just got an offer for a paid PI summer position at an amazing organization. Everything suddenly seems considerably less terrible. Although visiting friends and family for spring break also helps, I must say, and I'm sure I'll be filled with dread again Monday by noon.

Thanks guys, although turns out I'm a fucking idiot who should listen to the entire voicemail message before getting all excited and posting on here, since it turns out (when I listened again before calling back) it's an offer for the fall, so I'll be grinding without pay elsewhere except for the paltry stipend we get from school
OK goodbye rainbows and sm1les, nice to experience you for a second on the basis of a mistaken belief, back to low-level depression
Still springbreak though
ETA my attention to detail will help me become a great lawyer one day no doubt

I'd take a paid 2L PI gig that I am into, over just a summer stint
