Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
I gave my notice in January that come hell or high water I was leaving at the end of April to travel and clear my mind before LS. Counting down the days over here...

Reading up on Lizard People at work right now. Contemplating the purchase of David Icke's The Biggest Secret. Seems like valuable reading before I move to DC.

Well, ridding the government of the lizard people that control it with some second-amendment solutions sounds pretty damn freedom-loving to me, but first I need to get educated on whether they actually control government or only part of it and/or other parts of society.buckiguy_sucks wrote:This seems pretty unpatriotic of you. All of this is very disturbing. Hilary may or may not be a vampire, possibly a lizard vampireGray wrote:The Rumsfeld picture is very convincing. This thread is by nature off the rails.
Meanwhile, I've submitted my last day: July 31. Can't wait to chill. Not having a paycheck will suck, though.

So much this! I have grown used to the constant income every couple of weeks, not sure I can handle seeing money leaving my account in droves and not having it replenished consistentlyFloridaCoastalorbust wrote:This thread is by nature off the rails.

I think I'm headed to NU, which starts Aug. 17, so 16 free days should be nice. I'm planning on starting a lease in Chicago and moving from DC Aug. 1, and just chillin' n' shit. Alternatively, if I attend UC, which doesn't start until Sept., I'll be either SOL (or will enjoy a rather extended vacay, depending on how u look at it).Gray wrote:Yeah I still haven't figured out how much time I'm going to give myself at the end of it. every $ counts, but I'd love to have a week of just like enjoying life.FloridaCoastalorbust wrote:This thread is by nature off the rails.

If I just knew where I was going, life would be so much better right now.

I settled on July 31st as my last day a while ago; it felt like the best compromise between staying on as long as I can and having a decent amount of time to decompress before school starts.Gray wrote:Yeah I still haven't figured out how much time I'm going to give myself at the end of it. every $ counts, but I'd love to have a week of just like enjoying life.FloridaCoastalorbust wrote:This thread is by nature off the rails.

That's downright productive compared to me. All I've done is watch the Masters on my two PC monitorsGray wrote:lol the only productive thing I've done today is flag a positive review of my company on glassdoor that I'm 100% sure is fake.

Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
I was thinking July 31 sounds nice too. But then I think about having no income and maybe I should do at least one extra week after that. So much indecision right now. At least it should all be over in ~5 days! I am not doing that whole double-deposit game.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
