Got my JS2 this morning-- has anyone gotten the email yet? Paranoia is really starting to kick in...

I told them I hadn't received any mail and asked if that was normal. They said I should've already received it, so I asked them what address they sent it to, and that's when it all became clear.musedreverie wrote: Whoa how did you track them down!?
Such a shame I have no material proof that I actually got accepted.. 2/2 acceptee and still no hard copy letter in my mailbox
It's definitely unnerving to not have the physical copy. I hope you get yours soon!

Finaid offer here this morning too. Would be even more bummed if I didn't find out how impressive LIPP is at ASW (although some of the graphs in that presentation were suspicious at best). But on the whole, pretty unbelievable weekend.

Same form as for an application fee waiver. If you didn't receive a fee waiver and your financial situation has changed, can submit a fee waiver form. Need all your financial info + parents. It's a drag.mpc347 wrote:What's the deal with Harvard and ASW travel stipends these days? I read somewhere that they offer 50-200?

And you can get to Harvard for free from Logan since they don't require you to pay when getting on the silver line at the airport and that automatically connects you to the red line.mujiali wrote:Yupleslieknope wrote:What's the airport closest to HLS? Logan International, right?

So its: Silver Line --> Redline (Outbound) --> Get off at Harvard Square --> Walk 7 minutes
But I'm assuming you probably want to go to your hotel/room/friend's place first so...

You definitely can. You have to get on the Silver Line which acts as a bus at Logan and eventually converts to an underground tram type deal, then you can make a free transfer at South Station to the Red Line.LetsGoMets wrote:You can get on the T for free at Logan? Yeah it's great right? It's also a pretty reliable service. I think the main reason for the free aspect is there is no place to put money on a Charlie card/buy a Charlie ticket at the airport which would kind of suck if you didn't already have a Charlie card...Nathanael wrote:You definitely can. ALSO tangentially related - each hop on the T is now $2.65 not $2.50 so don't buy the $5 ticket option on the machine like I did! You'll have money left over on the ticket that's useless unless you want to go to a ticket center and pull the value off the ticket and put it on something else. Actually just get the card - it's free at only $2.10 a hop if you use it.
Harvard gives you a $5 ticket for the Boston event that's supposed to get you there and back that obviously doesn't anymore. They said they would correct that for the April ASW though!

Lol @ the T being called reliable. Don't suppose you were here for the half month it wasn't operational?ChemEng1642 wrote:

It is convenient though, when it is running. And don't forget the bus service, which runs more reliably and to just as many places for cheaper!

Fair point. Everything in Boston is better in the Summer/Fall.ChemEng1642 wrote: Err yeah sorry I meant reliable in the summer. I was also more specifically referring to the silver line shuttle which I've never had issues with though

I thought it was cheaper off-peak hours or something. The card they gave me worked to get there and back for the Boston event.ChemEng1642 wrote:Yeah it's great right? Re: Harvard Law School Class of 2018
There were 3 of us at ASW who went out together at the same time for the Sunday night event and all came back together and for 2 of us the cards were sufficient for fare both ways. For the other person, they had to add more money. So I really don't know how to explain that haha.LetsGoMets wrote:Hmm, strange, maybe I just got lucky and mine had some bonus funds on it.ChemEng1642 wrote:
