Go see the Jefferson Memorial at night. It is quite an experience.

Looks like you have to schedule it way ahead of time. Says 21 days minimum. I'm inside that window. Womp womp.buckiguy_sucks wrote:You can schedule one waaaay ahead of time.Gray wrote: The White house has tours I think but standing in line for several hours is not my idea of a good time.

Navy Museum it is then lol.
Any sense in checking out the rental market? I'm guessing I'd be inclined to take the train in from MD, but I really have no sense of how to figure out where I'd live to get to GULC.
ETA: Apologies for any stupid questions. I'm sure most of this is researchable.

In my opinion its not worth it. I think you kind of have to have an in to even be able to apply for a tour, and after they take all your information and you finally get in you literally see maybe three rooms and then its over. And that's after going through security for a good 45 minutes.Gray wrote:yeah for sure. IDK if it's worth it.buckiguy_sucks wrote: Probably security or something?
It's kinda cool to say you've been in the White House but its not something that I would really recommend spending your time on unless it was something that /really/ interested you. There are definitely much more interesting things to see that don't require as much effort.

Gray, I think you should lead a TLS-only ASW tour of DC/GULC.

Somehow with all those open houses and ASDs they didn't have one I was free for until late April. Very frustrating. I need to see how my potential classmates tolerate me in person…

Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2018
I'm not sure if I am posting in the right forum, but if I am, I apologize and if someone could please lead me to the right one I would greatly appreciate it haha.
I applied EB to Georgetown on the 26th and received confirmation that my application was complete the same day. I read on their website that if you applied EB before Feb 1st a decision would be made within 3 weeks and mailed to you.
I haven't heard anything from Georgetown I was just wondering if anyone experienced something similar or also applied EB and could give me some advice.
Thanks

Yepp. I'm taking it as a good sign that the committee is taking my request seriously. I asked for a pretty significant amount.supersplittysplitter wrote:did anybody receive a 2nd scholarship feeler email from Dean Cornblatt?

basically the email asks why Georgetown, what are your career aspirations etc; This definitely feels more serious/ formal than the first one

How long are everyone's GLS responses? I'm answering one question at a time, about a big paragraph each instead of writing one big statement... I'm just a little self-conscious since the instructions are so minimal...

Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2018
Got an email along these lines today, too. I had initially provided a brief response with a bit of Why Georgetown and a mention of my other offers. Didn't discuss exactly what they're asking now.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
