I am, I am. But their LRAP is no great shakes compared to GULC's, and I doubt they'd offer me much scholarship money, if any at all (have you heard anything, btw?). If I have a PI/not PI crisis and decide to sell my soul to big law, I'd prolly go UVA.

should we only send our Dean's Cert and transcript if we're 100% sure we're enrolling at GULC? Or is it better to get that out of the way now before the first deposit deadline? It's not like sending those things is binding in any way, right?

You're stuck with the net ID. However, they've recently been allowing faculty and staff change it to first and last name, so maybe students will eventually be able to change it as well?

Mmm well you need the Net ID in order to access the Yellow Form (I think) so I would imagine the deadline is at least before that form is due.

lolz - I'm going to the UVA ASW and trying to sit in on a GULC class to hopefully gain some clarity on this. Let's all have a TLS pow wow in March! haven't heard about $$ from anywhere but GW so far

so for Needaccess if your parents haven't filed for this year can they use last year's return? The parents info aspect of this is super annoying.

That's what I did. There is an option in the dropdown menu to select "Based on an estimate of 1040" or something so I selected that and submitted. There's no way my parents were going to be done by March 1st

Yeah why is the Net ID a pain? Do you mean the dean's certification, because yeah that was annoying.

Maybe I misunderstood it, but it seemed like a temporary email or something? I'm just not in the mood to do a crapload of paperwork for a bunch of schools that I won't end up attending in the end (even if I don't know which ones those will be). Then again, I can be lazy, and also I've only got a couple of admits so I guess I should quit whining. Weekend project, I guess. So much for that theory that I could just relax after I sent in my apps.

So I've probably read through GULCs financial aid website a million times and I'm still confused, do I need to fill this out to be considered for merit aid or just need based?

(also I don't need to fill out Need Access to be considered for merit aid, right?)

As far as I understand, no. If you're being considered for merit aid, they'll email you and ask you to confirm that you want to be considered. I've gotten said email and I haven't filled out either form yet, as I'm still waiting for my parents to file their taxes.

On another note, anyone have any great ideas for a one-day visit to GULC? Must-sees? I'm getting a student tour and meeting a student with similar interests, but other than that my day is open and I usually just walk around to see how pretty everything is. Think I need a better plan.
