It's the bro science workout edition. For the law student that wants to exercise the body and mind at the same time.Gray wrote:Idk ... it's extra thick paper but identical in all other ways.Minnietron wrote:Her casebook for Crim is twice the size of most everyone else's for the same edition!Wahrheit wrote:Minnietron wrote:If anyone else doesn't think casebooks are big enough, you can ask Gray where to buy the extra large versions!

Holy @#%#
Don't even care how bad I'm going to get killed on my third, which is the class I feel least confident in
At this point pretty sure the registrar has my identity confused with someone else

I am, honestly. It's a minor miracle I managed a B+ in Torts seeing as how I was a walking disaster in that class all semester.

I'm interested in gov't longterm, but the quickest route into the USAO appears to be biglaw (aside from DOJ Honors, anyway).Big Red wrote:no one else into pi/gov't?

Re: Fa1Lure is Imminent
I am, but I'm more afraid that I'll be able to do more if I go big law first. I don't want to, but a lot of PI orgs don't (and can't afford to) hire new grads, so it often seems that big law is the only short term option. Hopefully someone can tell me I'm dead wrong.Big Red wrote:no one else into pi/gov't?

Huh, the people who were somewhat noticeably bad have gotten a lot better post-grades, there's really only one guy (not in section) that truly makes mePeanutsNJam wrote:I'm in classes with so many gunners this spring. It's the worst.

Re: Fa1Lure is Imminent
USAO person says they almost never hire anybody without at least 5 yrs experience. Obviously clerking won't hurt, but you have to be doing something for those years, and biglaw is aiite. A lot of people go to USAO from county prosecutor and such too though.Big Red wrote:Is clerk -> USAO not a legitimate route?Joscellin wrote:I'm interested in gov't longterm, but the quickest route into the USAO appears to be biglaw (aside from DOJ Honors, anyway).Big Red wrote:no one else into pi/gov't?
The people who are really bad are the type to rationalize away mediocre grades. Some of them ended up around the top 10-20% too though, so that makes them way worse because their entitlement just doubled. To be clear, I'm not saying mediocre grades make you stupid, but if you try to hang onto the delusion that you're smarter than everyone despite mediocre grades, then you need a lobotomy.

Re: Fa1Lure is Imminent
I think what people say about their grades and what they're actually thinking are different, probably they're just posturing. I don't understand what kind of person who was median or worse who would want to talk to other people about it unless they went somewhere that still has good outcomes therePeanutsNJam wrote:

IDK, when I talk about grades it's almost always super general, I really do believe there's a stigma here re: talking about specific grades but maybe it's just an everyone else thing?
