Yeah. After 24 hours I just called the number on the credentials page and they gave me a new temporary password which worked.arewevoting wrote:anyone else experience an "invalid password" when you us the gu + last 6 of your 9-digit ID? i have a feeling it just isn't set up yet

Am I admitted to the part-time or full-time program? I am able to log into the ASW, get the credentials and change my password. Haven't received the official letter via mail, and I applied to both part-time and full-time programs. Is there a way to find out which program I am in?

Never mind - just received the letter today. For those who wonder how fast they make a decision after alumni interview, my interview was on 1/26, and the decision letter is dated 2/9. I wasn't able to log into ASW until 2/12, and I believe the letter was delivered today on 2/16. Nothing changed on the status check during the entire process, and no requirement list popped up after I was granted access to ASW.kangaaustin wrote:Am I admitted to the part-time or full-time program? I know it's early, but those of you that know where you are living or are pretty sure...can you message me and tell me where you're thinking? I went and visited this weekend and I swear I am more confused then before I came.
ps. omg it was so f-ing cold, I can't believe we are going to school there. But campus is great. Was dead when I was there because it was a weekend.

I think I'm going to apply for the Global Scholars one, but this is so last minute now I have to find someone to evaluate me!!!Gray wrote:New poll - I'm curious to see if anyone is applying to PILS or GLS (mostly GLS because I think I am) + the public interest fellows program (which seems like PILS without the scholarship?)

I feel the same way... but I haven't visited yet. I want to be able to lock down a lease by May and be able to move in by early-August, but I'm so overwhelmed I don't even know where to start looking. I've been looking on craigslist and stuff, but it's really hard to actually proceed without knowing whether or not I'll be able to find a roommate(s), and what areas to stay away from and whatnot...louisv123 wrote:I know it's early, but those of you that know where you are living or are pretty sure...can you message me and tell me where you're thinking? I'm bilingual in Cantonese and I'm fluent in Mandarin... I was hoping I could get someone random from my school's Chinese department to do it, but I've never taken a classGray wrote:What language!kimaginary4s wrote:I think I'm going to apply for the Global Scholars one, but this is so last minute now I have to find someone to evaluate me!!!Gray wrote:New poll - I'm curious to see if anyone is applying to PILS or GLS (mostly GLS because I think I am) + the public interest fellows program (which seems like PILS without the scholarship?)
Have you decided if you're applying yet? (Which one?)

I'm deciding between UCLA and GULC, so ignoring how my Cali ass is going to be freezing 1/3 of the year will be hard.kimaginary4s wrote:I feel the same way... but I haven't visited yet. I'll be living off campus most likely (I have a dog). Anyone know anything about the neighborhoods, or whether you need a car?

From what my DC friends told me, if you got an apartment in Virginia or Maryland(suburbs), then you'll need to drive to the train station to get to the city by public transit...Dipper wrote:I'm deciding between UCLA and GULC, so ignoring how my Cali ass is going to be freezing 1/3 of the year will be hard.kimaginary4s wrote:I feel the same way... but I haven't visited yet. I'm still debating whether its worth it to pay less rent but to have to maintain a car... Also I really want to get a dog this summer (I know it's a terrible idea, but a girl can dream...)

Agreed, roommate situation is a game-changer for me as well. I want one but I'd rather live alone then be with someone I don't get along with...I wish they would launch the Facebook page for the Georgetown class of 2018 already so I can do potential roommate research and freak people out with how far in advance I am thinking about this.kimaginary4s wrote:I feel the same way... but I haven't visited yet.
