Yup. Also trolling Craigslist. Like for apartments, not hookers (yet).Gray wrote:lolol this so much. So much this. If my schools knew how much I stalked them using google maps, I'm pretty sure they'd file a restraining ordercurlietop86 wrote:...as well as using google maps to inspect all spots/shops/bookstores near my most likely law school destination.

My school is in a small town, I mean closest Waffle House is like a 15 minute drive.

There's also a ton of really good stuff in the burbs, which is often also reasonably priced. My favourite is this Chinese place called Full Key, in Wheaton. Go!
e: oh and an Italian place in Columbia heights called Maple. They have $4 wine happy hours and the wine is always really good. Also their paninis are amazing

go to el centro in georgetown for the $5 happy hour margaritas. best marg in town, and probably best salsa. 2 margs and you are drunk, 3 you need a wheelchair.alloverthat wrote:There's also a ton of really good stuff in the burbs, which is often also reasonably priced. It's sad to me local restaurants are either Mexican-American or Chinese-American, with McDonalds to round out this expansive selection.

Selection isn't varied enough for me. Just a personal taste, obviously not enough locals agree to diversify.alloverthat wrote:How come?RCSOB657 wrote:It's sad to me local restaurants are either Mexican-American or Chinese-American, with McDonalds to round out this expansive selection.

Additionally the population isn't even high enough to support a local late (or 24/7) diner.

Hah sorry I should have re-stated. The town I'm talking about has a local permanent population below 10k.curlietop86 wrote:buckiguy_sucks wrote:dude's not talking about dc hahacurlietop86 wrote:the diner (admo)? the coupe (columbia heights)? depends where you live.RCSOB657 wrote:Additionally the population isn't even high enough to support a local late (or 24/7) diner.
