Re: Tonight, We Dine in He1L
First exam done, word-vomited a little over 5K words about civ pro in three hours. First lesson learned: don't discuss what you did and didn't spot afterwards, since it'll only depress you.

Re: Tonight, We Dine in He1L
In grad school, after a tough exam, students were queuing up in the hall discussing the exam they had just completed. The mood of the crowd got dark fast, I had to flee because I thought the whole group was about to march down to the bridge and jump into the river.Hand wrote:yeah not doing that againhaus wrote:Seldom does talking about an exam immediately after it is over do anything other than mess with your head.Hand wrote:First exam done, word-vomited a little over 5K words about civ pro in three hours. Is it normal to feel like I know shit all at this point?

ETA: OK that isn't entirely true (except for property). But still. Feeling so screwed.

That is the beauty of the system. The longer you stay in school, the more you are exposed to the more you become aware of all the shit that you do not know!mujiali wrote:Is it normal to feel like I know shit all at this point?

Don't feel screwed y'all. Do two things after any exam:
1. Eat something friggin' delicious
2. Think about crushing your next exam.
Ain't no point in looking back; celebrate the fact that ____ class is fully and officially over. With chocolate/steak.

Hey man, I just want good feels for everybody; any time hard shit ends is cause for some kind of celebration. Plus, thinking about past exams results in my brain feeling hurty. Putting steak and chocolate in my mouth results in my brain feeling like Jesus just turned water into fireworks.Wahrheit wrote:zhenders coming in and dropping the truth bombs as always. Re: Tonight, We Dine in He1L
I took a PT for my Torts exam, which is closed book. Three page fact pattern with eight parties. The first question had a recommended time of 60 minutes. The model answer was 4900 words of sheer brilliance that made my own answer look like even more of a steaming pile of puss. I wanted to curl up and cry because I am going to fail so hard.

Last exam tomorrow. Of all the exams I was unprepared for, this one I am unprepared for the most. Only took 2 practice exams, and not in testing conditions. Barely know the cases, will probably not have a functional case bank by the time tomorrow's exam rolls around. YOLOSWAG.

Re: Tonight, We Dine in He1L
Last Exam is on Friday morning Civil Procedure. My prof is a trickster who loves the nuances of every rule in our supplement book
Feel okay about my Research Memo (although it uploaded with the track changes showing
) Prof said no worries
Felt pretty good after Contracts, but if its anything like the midterm then everybody got pretty much the same score so the small issues decided grades
Felt terrible after Torts (I hate torts, I know I spotted those issues, but IRAC be damned I typed out a jumbled mess)
Feel good about Civ Pro, what I like about that class is how wide the curve is so those at the top get significantly better scores than those in the median and the bottom, so its easy to separate yourself. On our midterm the top of the class got around 55% of the test and the median was around 18% LOL

Re: Tonight, We Dine in He1L
I'm finishing my contracts PTs with like an hour of spare time, sometimes even more. I usually hit all the issues that are on the profs answer memos and write just about the same amount as his sample answer. Test is in the morning. What should I do for any extra time I have, kinda hard to blab on for that long about Ks (unlike torts)?
Also closed book, no outline.
