my outlines are pretty decent I think but that's mostly because I had good source material, not because of my own awesomenessMinnietron wrote:Express warranty or puffery? Would not call them "mega," at least as far as length in concerned, as they range from 15 to 25 pp a piece, although they are mega-awesome, just like me

I was gonna post a picture of Hikko's apartment in response, but decided that was unnecessarily creepy.Kinky John wrote:Power wash. Before law school, I was unaware hard drive envy existed. Now it is one of my top 3 sins.Wahrheit wrote:"Mega" describes outline quality, not quantity, fwiw. Although I did dump a bunch of old outlines into some pages on Onenote so I can ctrl+e them in case I missed coverage of anything on my own or in my notes.

Well here in TTT land we must not be smart enough to talk about prima facie cases for things b/c we just covered the elements of the torts

Here in TTT land we only need to prove the elements of a tort on our torts exam, and we leave the fact that rule 8(a)(3) requires not just a statement of the grounds for relief but also the relief sought for our civ pro exam. Weird, I know.buckiguy_sucks wrote:Well here in TTT land we must not be smart enough to talk about prima facie cases for things b/c we just covered the elements of the torts

Re: Tonight, We Dine in He1L
If that's what your prof wants, then that's what you should give him or her, but whichever way you turn it, damages are simply not an element of the intentional torts (except for IIED), and have made a prima facie case for e.g. battery when you have evidence for intent and for a harmful or offensive contact, the end. Furthermore, there's normally no question of cause here. In both respects, the intentional torts contrast sharply with negligence.NoBladesNoBows wrote:Man prima facie case is just how my professor taught it, and based on the fact that Leo's post (which started that whole discussion) mentioned the prima facie case for torts I figured that that's probably how his prof teaches as well. I dunno what all the hatin' is about.

As we are in the seasons of exams, it is nice to know the material for a given class, but even better is to know what your professor wants.

Yup my prof definitely teaches it intent-act-causation-damages. We just call it the "elements" rather the prima facie case, but double checked and that's what I and all the other outlines for my prof have too!NoBladesNoBows wrote:Man prima facie case is just how my professor taught it, and based on the fact that Leo's post (which started that whole discussion) mentioned the prima facie case for torts I figured that that's probably how his prof teaches as well.
