Also, does anyone know roughly how many Darrow's are offered? Also the amount of interviews compared to the amount of scholarships given? I feel like it's probably just anecdotal, but maybe someone who has read through the previous years' threads might have some insight.

Idk about offered but that should be data they report (how many people are on full grants)pylon wrote:Also, does anyone know roughly how many Darrow's are offered? Thanks mack, I didn't realize that info was public.
From ABA in the most recently reported year, Michigan had the following:
14 full tuition scholarships
12 more than full tuition scholarships
Still no knowledge of how many they offer compared to how many actually attend, but that's okay.

Re: Michigan Law c/o 2018
Hi Everyone,
Congrats on Michigan. I am a current 2L, and I can definitely tell you that you've made the right choice (+ Harbaugh, duh).
I currently live in a 6-bedroom house and 4 of my roommates + me are looking to sublet are bedrooms for the summer. One of our roommates will likely be living/working in Ann Arbor this summer.
House comes fully furnished with beds & TVs in every room (+ large flat-screen in living room), granite counter tops, central A/C, etc. House also has a grill outside and room for parking in the driveway.
We are asking for $500 per room, which is a significant discount off of the $800 or so we currently pay per month. Price is potentially negotiable though.
Please PM me if you might be interested.
Thanks and congrats again!

The Lawyers Club site says, "You will be able to take easy advantage of the Law School's resources as well as enjoy the community of 227 fellow law students." Of these 227, roughly how many are 1L? With a class size of ~320, that seems like a pretty bit proportion of the class.

Re: Michigan Law c/o 2018
I was accepted (summer start) and am extremely excited! But I would like to switch to the fall start for a couples of reasons. (1) I feel rushed (2) Waitlisted at Penn and Chicago and would like the opportunity to hear from them (3) My employer would like me to finish off the year in June. My question is for those of you have switched from summer or fall or the other way around, who did you email and were you able to switch? Thank Youthatssoraven wrote:alexisozil wrote:hearsay77 wrote:Mack.Hambleton wrote:what is the deal with summer starters, how do you choose to become one

I tried to find something within walking distance but it seemed like a lot was booked. The good news is that there are some hotels, like Hampton Inn, that are farther out but have a bus stop very close. Try airbnb too bc it is a little cheaper. I remember seeing an awesome downtown apt that was within walking distance.Shelbinole wrote:Decided last minute to go to March ASW with my SO. Anyone know of hotels in walking distance???

Yeah, I was really worried about getting around bc public transportstion where I live is horrible/practically nonexistent. But public transportation is awesome in A2 and the buses seem to run frequently so don't worry if you end up a little farther out.Shelbinole wrote:If I book something farther are there cabs in Ann Arbor?hillz wrote:I tried to find something within walking distance but it seemed like a lot was booked. Now that summer starters are making decisions, my apartment will be available at a reduced price - http://annarbor.craigslist.org/sub/4885897937.html - 5 minute walk to the school, hard to find anything closer. PM for details!

I'm going to the April one and when you apply they put you in a hotel for $20 a night. If you wanted to stay alone or go with a spouse or something you have to stay somewhere else. Idk what your situation is but I just thought I'd mention it in case you hadn't filled out the registration forum yet.Shelbinole wrote:If I book something farther are there cabs in Ann Arbor?hillz wrote:I tried to find something within walking distance but it seemed like a lot was booked.
