I get that next semester. For some reason our section is getting Civ Pro from the second half of the textbook. Our outlines are limited to 5 pages and we have word count limits for each question on the exams. It's gonna be interesting!Big Red wrote:don't make the mistake of looking at an old examHand wrote:I'm still pretending civ pro doesn't existFloridaCoastalorbust wrote:outlining the Erie doctrine - thank god for Freer's supplement
I was like almost done writing when I even realized there WAS an erie Q
I'm probably going to start civ pro exams by looking for erie and SMJ issues from now on

So I just need to read through Glannon and take some old exams and I'll be good for Civ Pro right?!

For the more nebulous shit (personal/subject matter jurisdiction, erie doctrine, claim & issue preclusion) I recommend reading the relevant sections in Freer's supplement. Freer gives you really solid analytical frameworks for those issues which will be invaluable if your professor hasn't done so. Glannon's E&E also has a great reputation and I've found it to be helpful, especially for practice with applying the FRCP.eagle2a wrote:So I just need to read through Glannon and take some old exams and I'll be good for Civ Pro right?!

I really appreciated the inspiring "Exam Tips" email that we got from our student services right before the break.

I have been slacking off and I don't see this changing until at least Monday... First exam on Friday.

They call it Black Friday because that's the day you start outlining for real and realize how fucked you are, right?

I'll let you know how the whole not stressing out and not studying daily thing goes for me after finals. Should be entertaining.

All true except the confidence part. Prof is senile and no one in 50 years has figured out what he wants so I just did my own thingbuckiguy_sucks wrote:This is, I'm sure, like a gunner-style psyche out and not a real factBNA wrote:Went to contracts twice all semester.
