We have a January term that's after winter break but before spring semester, but our fall finals are in three weeks.

I do not know about the law school, but most of the other schools at Harvard altered there schedule a few years back to bring finals up before winter break.

Yale has finals after winter break but I think they may have changed that? They did last year at least.

I mean with regards to the event, I wouldn't personally have made a point to discuss it here, because really there's no way for something like that to sound like anything but groan-worthy. I can't convince you all it wasn't; too much lack of context; I just don't want it to get mis-characterized is all.

Think of it this way though: this took place at uchicago -- arguably (and correctly, I'd say) the most conservative and non-feminist T14 school. If it had been groanworthy -- even a little bit -- we would have been the first to groan.

Besides that, no point in trying to unpack it; I fully acknowledge a powerful "you would have had to have bee there" component.

ETA: I totally admit that my statement earlier is groan-worthy though -- that shit's fair enough.

If I knew what the difference between an A and C memo was, I would've stopped looking at color coded CRuPAC examples a long time ago! Instead, I search for understanding in the same documents over, and over, and over...I've reached the point that I'm pretty sure I'm just making stuff up now.

Can you imagine a law fellow's face if they came upon a joke in a memo? It might break them before they could run to ask the professor what was happening.

Next semester it'll be "I've been to 1L and back..."

procrastinating so hard right now, trying to put off the impleading 3rd parties part of my civ pro outline and being very successful at this.

If someone asks, I've finished all my outlines already, included flow charts, and tabbed by topic, even for my closed book exam. I really wanted to make sure that I understood the material. I've already worked through other professor's practice exams, but I'm saving actual PT's for 72-48-24 hours before the exam and met with TA's for each class.
Then see the look of panic that overcomes the rest of the group as you've cemented your legendary gunner status.
