No go on gunner bingo. While there are plenty of candidates, it does not seem collegial, and law school is all about collegiality...

Kidding! For the size of the class, the ratio of gunners is pretty low. I'd say there are about four or five overt gunners.

That depends on how you determine collegiality. In person, I play nice with others. The veil of the internet - albeit thin - allows for a different line of discourse unacceptable in a civilized setting.

There are at most 1 or 2 gunners in all of section 4. Mostly people just answer the profs questions and ask relevant questions, no strange hypos that totally derail class, and no straining to get your hand the highest or up the most often (not since like week 3 at least)

I'm not much a library dweller either, so I can't speak to out of class gunning.

Talking in every class doesn't make you a gunner. Talking about topics that we haven't covered, talking about topics we aren't going to cover, or racing to answer (Oh, it happens!) are gunnerable offenses

I don't think people who talk in class are annoying so long as they stay on topic. If someone doesn't volunteer, the prof. will just sit there awkwardly waiting or cold call someone. Might as well just have someone speak up and get it over with.

Full disclosure: I regularly volunteer in class...

After reading this, I realize the hole I have in my life is from a lack of god hypos. GULC must be full of faithless heathens.That's the only logical answer.

My sample size is small, but I find Florida cases much more interesting than Illinois cases.

The one we played in CivPro was more simple. Just pick 5 people that you think will volunteer to answer any given day.

We had a guy yesterday raise his hand to answer another kid's question - not his cold call, but his actual question for the professor, which she had just answered. He's like, "I think this'll help clarify it for you - think of it as..."

At least the eye rolling helps keep me awake in that class.

From my perspective our gunners have chilled -- mostly because our profs shut them down fast. The first 3 weeks were borderline torture, though.
