Yeah, that makes sense, of course. You can also save money on bar expenses by being a barbri/etc. rep while in school btw, although that won't help with living expenses for your 3L summer (and it sucks, but it isn't a ton of work).WhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote:Understood. That's why I'm trying to figure out how much I need to save for post-graduation. I'd prefer to only have LRAP/PSLF eligible debt (with fingers crossed that loan forgiveness continues to be a thing).Hand wrote:Even if you have a job at graduation, it won't pay for your bar course & summer expenses unless it pays big law $$WhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote:Thanks Cap'n. I'm 100% PI focused, so I'm trying to consider things like avoiding bar loans if I don't have a jerb at graduation, etc. I've set my last day and am largely deciding how much I want to travel in the weeks between work & school and how much I want to save.CaptainJapan wrote:I said screw it with 15k--planning to show up on day 1 of 1L with ~10k.WhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote:For those of you with savings, at what level of savings would you say "screw it" and start traveling? This is from yesterday, but significant for two reasons: (1) new sunglasses and (2) my hair is naturally curly but I normally do not allow photographic evidence of this fact
