I thought that was strange too

I'm taking the bus to the Segway tour so I'll probably just look at the map and find one that goes to the restaurant too if anyone is doing public transport all weekend I think it'll be easier than me trying to find parking and walk everywhere.

I had to email Riley back because of my financial aid time slot, and he said they won't actually be leaving until 11:30. So really, it's just 30 minutes before tour start time

Also nooooooo my tights are definitely distinctly different from my current skin color. How bad would it be if I didn't wear tights under my dress skirt for Friday? Did I mention I'm the laziest person (because tights are basically sold everywhere...)?

I'm in the same boat as you hahaha I'm definitely passing on tights since I have no time to run to the store at all so you won't be alone

I would go with some other color tights (maybe black or gray if you have them) or not wear them. Or are pants an option? Off-color tights tend to look weird when they're meant to match your skin tone.

In FL, it seems most people go bare-legged when it's warm, and it's no big deal, but I am from AL and I had a job at a bank where they were pretty particular about wearing some sort of hose.

I just can't see anyone really judging you at ASW for a lack of tights, but I was sent home one day from that bank job for wearing "jean-like pants" so I guess I am basically a renegade.

Business casual in Austin, you can generally get away without tights.

Still walking but a bit less.
Oh, that would be great! I'm gonna be car-less so I didn't even think about that being a possibility for some.
Could I get a ride to lunch also!

I know lots of people in Austin who consider nice jeans to be business casual. I wouldn't wear jeans to ASD, but BC has a different meaning here than it does on the East Coast.

From FL, stopped wearing hose when I graduated HS/ was done with FFA. Didn't even think about this.

Hello, everyone! I am checking in very late here, but I have been lurking on the UT thread in the Acceptances forum for a while. I am going to ASW this weekend, so I hope to see all of you there! Perhaps you wouldn't mind a latecomer joining you for lunch? :D

Welcome! We'd always love to have more for lunch. I think the 12:00 group is planning on lunch at El Sapo after the segway tour. I'm not sure what the 2:00 segway tour is planning if you're on that tour, but I'm sure that you could work something out!

Thinking about going to a bar that does trivia tomorrow night. Anybody know a good place for trivia on a wednesday? I've looked at a list of all the places that do it, but figured I'd see if there were any favorites.

Depending on what you're looking for... I believe Billy's on Burnet does trivia on Wednesday nights. My husband and I love Billy's, but it's very much a dive, and I'd only recommend it if you're a beer drinker. It's a good spot for a Texas craft beer, a greasy burger and casual patio seating.

I think Posse East does trivia on wednesdays. It's really close to campus and popular with law and grad students with a good beer selection and great burgers!
