My laptop cut off unexpectedly last night and wouldn't turn back on for awhile. I'm afraid I might have to work an extra week so I can buy a new laptop before school starts.

Sign up for a store card and buy it with that? Most budgets give you an allowance for a one time computer/printer purchaseIsThisForReal wrote:My laptop cut off unexpectedly last night and wouldn't turn back on for awhile. assuming you aren't already going there --If you got offered a spot at your first choice school, but had to wait out a year for it, would you wait?
Would you go back to the same job you just left and ask to stay on for another year?

Yeah, no, I would find a different job for the yearGray wrote:If it was this job? No. It was more than a year ago that I first felt the desire to rage quit and I've held on for SO LONG. 12 more months would not be doable.storpappa wrote:assuming you aren't already going there --If you got offered a spot at your first choice school, but had to wait out a year for it, would you wait?

Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
I've actually thought about this a lot. I definitely would not go back to my old job hahahaha. But I get recruited for a lot of 3-12 month contract jobs (technical skills ftw) so I'd do that. Maybe move somewhere else.storpappa wrote:assuming you aren't already going there --If you got offered a spot at your first choice school, but had to wait out a year for it, would you wait?

Not sure if she reads this thread but this situation happened to peachesthedoge last year, WUSTL offered her $$$ to defer after she'd already quit her job and moved to STL. Worked out fine for her.

Yeah that's what I thought at first, but it isn't. Think it might be a bad connection somewhere. I'm really hard on electronics.Kinky John wrote:Sign up for a store card and buy it with that? Pretty sure my Dell warranty was up a while ago. It's like 5 years old, so it's honestly gonna need replaced soon, I'm just dreading it.WhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote:Do you have AppleCare/ whatever warranty?
