I got my financial aid award today and was disappointed but not super surprised to receive zero aid. At/above both medians, so I will probably be appealing the decision as the deposit deadline draws closer.

Do you guys remember how long ago you submitted need access and fafsa. I only did mine this week so I'm not sure if this means they just haven't gotten to me yet or if I might be a finalist (or at least not out of the running yet) for one of the scholarships I applied for.

I have received three emails from NYU so far today, and even though I know that interview invites for scholarships come via phone call, I get excited and disappointed every time.

From what I've gathered in conversations and PMs, you can be a finalist for multiple named scholarships and (if you're just incredible) you can even be double offered.

Does anyone think the discrepancy I have experienced (no scholarship email but submitted NA almost a month ago, which is much longer than many who have received info) could be because I am Canadian? Did anyone who is international receive aid offers yesterday?

A while back I did random searches for anbryce across TLS--- never read of people receiving dings. I guess the real canary in the coal mine is the regular NYU financial aid offer if you're still waiting for the interview invite.
