Anybody else actually angry that they're still showing up to work or is it just me? The annoyance of having to show up and sit here for 8 hours a day is reaching all-time highs

I'm here. Putting in my two-weeks on Monday as a result--it's at the point where the cost of completely wasting 5 days a week is outweighing the benefit of a bi-monthly paycheck. Fun-employment is so close I can taste it now.

Planning the weekend getaway SO and I will be taking in about a little over a month for our anniversary. Found something modest on groupon and now I'm fleshing out what we'll actually be doing.

My anniversary is tomorrow and our plan is a tentative "do nothing all day and then probably go out for dinner."

That sounds like an excellent day! Fun and hassle-free. Also, congrats a little early on the anniversary!

This! A sure-fire way to be miserable is to think of all the amazing things (and or nothing) you could be doing with your time off. I took a Friday off a couple weeks ago and I swear it was the greatest feeling in the world. Slept in, went to get breakfast, did some recording- utter joy.

I hate being a responsible adult and trying to save up these paychecks for 1L brokedom. Might just go the Cap's route and throw in the towel ahead of time.

Oh but I'm already in the North American city with the 2nd most restaurants per capita after NYC! But I am excited about DC food. I may or may not have spent a work day compiling a list of restaurants within walking distance of my new apartment...

During my undergrad years at GULC I came very close to wining and dining my way to financial ruin.

Heh yeah I've been there and seen what's on offer... I'll be doing more grubbing and grogging than wining and dining.

I guess I'll find out. When I visited I didn't see any live music, but I did see some very drunk undergrads having a good deal of trouble staying upright on the Corner. That was entertaining.
