Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2018
Hm. I still can't decide which curriculum. I simultaneously feel like it's not a big deal // it's eating me alive.

Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2018
I think I mentioned this earlier, but it costs me $80-90/month for my 5 day a week commute to/from work. Cost will vary depending on distance though.WhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote:This may have already been covered, but I cannot figure out how much the Metro costs per month if you're commuting on it. Does anybody know off the top of their head?

Unfortunately, there is not. I believe Georgetown has a shuttle system, but I think it only goes between the main campus and the law campus.WhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote:Thanks, Swazzy!swazzy wrote:I think I mentioned this earlier, but it costs me $80-90/month for my 5 day a week commute to/from work. Does anyone know if there are student discounts or an unlimited student card?
I tried to look on the Metro's website, but I couldn't tell if student discounts would apply to law students or just to public school kids.

It could be more expensive depending on route -- they have a tool to let you calculate cost: http://www.wmata.com/rider_tools/calcul ... ulator.cfm

I can't seem to find the housing application in the simplicity website. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2018
First off, thank you to everyone on this site that has provided wonderful information regarding all aspects of GT Law!
On above regarding metro...depends on distance and time of day. Also, buses vary...there are express buses during rush hour (more expensive) along with the standard buses. And generally bus to bus transfers are free and bus/metro transfers are discounted.
Minor note...regarding vaccine paperwork...takes 3 x days to get a PPD reading.
Cheers!

just took the plunge and clicked B... now scouring internet for reassurance (already did extensive searches/spoke to section B alums) that it's the right choice. any other B-curriculum people want to weigh in on why they are planning on/have chosen it?

My impression was that there are 6 sections, roughly equal in size, and only 1 is curriculum B, so I'm not sure how that would work.Gray wrote:They say that it divides roughly evenly with self-selection into 2/3 Curriculum A and 1/3 Curriculum B (amon FT students) - Is there something about TLS people being more gunnery that's skewing the poll, I wonder?

no only section 7 is PT I believe so six FT ones, which indeed would mean 2 curr. ETA I haven't seen many people posting about the PT program but maybe they voted in the poll, so IDK, that could be it.

BTW has anyone who is trying to be on top of their shit and thus has submitted tax returns etc. gotten an acknowledgement? It's been 10 days or so since I emailed them what I could produce and I haven't heard a peep and nothing has changed in the required items on myaccess for me.

Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2018
There are definitely sections 3 and 7. I seem to recall meeting/hearing about sections 1,2, and 4.
Pretty sure there is no section 6.
