Oh, and for the record, rbwlaw, my status checker said it was mailed on 3/20 and the letter was postmarked 3/23.

My status checker says my scholarship decision was mailed on the 24th. I received it today, and the postmark was the 24th. I'm in DC.

Finally got scholarship info in the mail today. Status Checker Mailing Date of 3/18, Postmarked 3/19.
It's less than I was expecting and less than higher ranked schools have given me. Has anyone gotten results (successful or not) for negotiations yet?

I emailed to negotiate a couple weeks ago and they said they'd get back to me early-mid April after they'd given out all the initial packages.

I was told they'd reevaluate scholarship decisions once they've issued a first round of decisions, and that they'd likely get back to me by mid-April. They also asked me to basically write a Why Duke, which I didn't do because I wrote Why Duke when applying and interviewed, so I'm pretty much tapped out as far as what to say.

Thanks slurpy and leslieknope. I emailed admissions asking for reevaluation just now. Hopefully they've sent out the last of the first round already because seat deposit deadlines are looming.

They did people who interviewed first and just recently got to people who didn't interview. I didn't interview and got my scholarship info today. I was admitted in November. I don't know if it hurts your amount to not interview

i see... curse my laziness at the time. i should have just done the interview. i guess i was just in the "im done with lsat, im done with life" mindset lol

I think the interview was a good opportunity to clarify any questions they may have about you or your application. Additionally, it provided an opportunity to show your enthusiasm for the school and put a face with your application. In my opinion, unless you're horrendously socially inept (or physically deformed), you probably didn't get the offer you would have had you interviewed.

Got all excited to see my scholarship info when I got a package from Duke today...turned out just to be another wave of info packets. Well played, Duke admissions, well played indeed.

Can you lucky bunch confirm when deposit deadline is? I'm on the Waitlist and planning a visit to hopefully meet with some admissons peeps, and thinking this visit makes sense after first deposit deadline as I expect that's when WL movement will begin...guessing deadline is Apr 30/May 1 and then May is when WL will start seeing movement ...

Sorry to troll the board for the accepts and congrats to all of you!!

Finally got back to school and picked up my Duke scholly letter. Pretty much the same as what NYU offered. Hmmm.

Which is pretty significant, considering the difference in the cost of living.

When a school with a high cost of living offers the same money as a school with low cost of living . . .

Anyone know where to find the travel reimbursement form on dukes website?

Thought it would be in our folder, but it's apparently online

When you log in to the admitted students site, go to the welcome page, and it's on the right under Important Materials.
