Lol. Wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing. Nobody here is going to give you a job, and you're already accepted. Honestly, I'd come in sweats if the school didn't expressly say that current students coming to the ASW couldn't wear them.

Do you. If you like to wear nice clothes, wear that. If you DGAF, DGAF it.

Also only the welcome reception has a location so I'm guessing we'll find out locations for all the other events when we're there? Also it says that we can visit classes - which is something I'm definitely interested in doing - but there doesn't seem to be much time on the schedule to do that - what do you think is worth missing to go to a class instead?
I'm thinking that all will be revealed at registration

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure almost all law school activities take place in Jerome Greene Hall at Amsterdam and 116th, so worst case scenario we could show up there. But yes I presume more materials are forthcoming.

Show up at JG lobby (the one by Amsterdam, not the entrance with the giant ugly sculpture).

Isn't the sculpture on the walkway/overpass over Amsterdam?

Yea, the overpass whatever is over Amsterdam, you're right. Nonetheless, that's not the entrance, it's the one that is in the lobby on the side of the school on 116.

Is there a need to stress about the mock class at ASW? They just sent the next week ASWers an email about a supreme court decision we need to familiarize ourselves with. Panicking about cold calls and looking dumb already -what if Columbia rescinds its acceptance based on mock class performance,,

Edit: I have Metzger!

Perhaps it was just sent to Metzger participants? Others will get theirs at a different time?

Looks like the DOMA case, which is perfect for me since I wrote about this subject in my app! Which makes me think I was placed in this mock class on purpose? Not sure. Either way I'm super excited!

I feel ya, dlrkgml, but I'm sure it'll be fun!

Guys, I have a stupid question. Financial aid documents can't be emailed, can they? I submitted the FAFSA in January but was lazy about Columbia docs -and now I have 1 day to get everything to NYC. The deadline of March 1st is a Sunday though, how strict are they on this?

Sooooo... I actually emailed everything (and then sent a hard copy of the questionnaire b/c my PDF quality wasn't great)--I figured that since they didn't actually give any instructions on how to send stuff in, anything's game? And then even if they come back asking for a hard copy, you can say you submitted everything electronically by the deadline.

I've got Huang instead - and I think a different case.

Nope, they just ask for volunteers. No one actually keeps track of who shows up to mock class, let alone who talks during class.

Regarding dress code, nobody cares or remembers what you wear. I wore jeans last year.

Main point: Do not stress about ASW! The school is trying to impress you now!

I guess that answers that! Metzger is doing US v. Windsor.
