To register for ASW: Go to Visiting HLS as an Admitted Student, click on Admitted Students Weekends, and then at the top there is a link in red for "Register for the Admitted Students Weekend"
There's no schedule but I know I'm going in March so I registered anyway.

Nice! I thought I was the only one who didn't receive the email until I went and checked the spam inbox and there it was shining there! Silly gmail, making me think I was still stuck in a limbo
Anyway, which one do you guys think is better, the March or April ASW? (as in terms of the crowdedness, organization etc.?) I really hope my work can get me off so I can visit the ASWs!

idk about crowdedness or organization but the weather will most certainly be better in April.

I'm trying to buy my tickets for March ASW. What time/day are other people flying in?

Err I'm doing a crazy thing where I'm flying down Tuesday night to NYC so I can do Columbia's, NYU's, and Harvard's at once. Probably busing Friday night though. But I would definitely recommend the day before!LSCHI wrote:I'm trying to buy my tickets for March ASW. What time/day are other people flying in?

Re: Harvard Law School Class of 2018
Hi, everyone! I'm new to TLS, so I apologize if this question has already been asked and answered elsewhere.
Does anyone know if you have to make the deposit for HLS before you can apply for HUH? I would assume that you do, but I'd like to double check on the off chance that it isn't required.
While HLS has been my top choice for awhile (and I am SUPER thrilled and honored to be accepted!), I have been offered a named scholarship for full tuition at CCN and am still waiting to hear back from a couple more schools. Because of this, I cannot make a final decision by March 1 when applications open, especially since I plan on attending ASWs before committing anywhere. I am a bit paranoid that I won't get the housing I want if I don't apply early, so I just wanted to know how much pressure I should feel to make a decision sooner rather than later. Thanks in advance for your input!

Thanks for posting this! Sounds like a lot of fun, I'm really excited to see the campus. I've been to Boston before, but that was almost a decade and a half ago. I'm glad they are giving us an opportunity to go check out the city as well!ChemEng1642 wrote:The tentative schedule just went up!morimoto1991 wrote:what time does ASW start on march 7?

@Fawkes I don't think you have to deposit before applying to HUH.
@morimoto The stipend is need-based, if you applied with a fee waiver you'll get one automatically I think. I didn't, so I had to fill out the fee waiver and send it in with copies of my tax return and my parents' return.

Looks fun!!also, did you receive any info on stipend?
I believe the travel stipend is need based - if you qualified for the LSAC fee waiver then you contact them to see if you qualify for a travel stipend.

Re: Harvard Law School Class of 2018
I just bought my tickets for the March ASW! Even though I haven't RSVP'd or registered for it. There's no cap to the number of attendees, right? ... Right?
Also, for some reason, I am under the impression that some current HLS students house some people during the ASW. Am I being crazy here? I can't remember where I read that. The only email I've gotten so far is the one that says "hold on, another email is coming for you with your email address!"

(unless you're at work or something - but then again I'm at work so...)
Also I thought that as well! But all I see on the website right now is a link to hotels and similar things

According to this: https://hls.harvard.edu/dept/dos/housin ... ion-dates/Fawkes wrote:Hi, everyone! I'm new to TLS, so I apologize if this question has already been asked and answered elsewhere.

applications for housing for incoming JD students only opens on April 1st and as long as you get your app in by April 30th you're put into the lottery. I just looked this up though so I could be misinterpreting something. Anyone know if this is true?
Edit: Wait I think I'm just realizing that HUH is not the same thing...
Edit: Yea disregard what I said
Edit: but then here it says: http://www.huhousing.harvard.edu/apply/ ... on-process
Applications submitted between March 1 and May 1 at 5:00 p.m. EDT, will be randomly assigned to specific View and Select Windows and notified of those dates via email in early May.
View and Select Windows begin in early May and generally run through late May or early June. Our greatest inventory is available during this time period.
So you should be ok as long as you get your application in by May 1st.
