Re: TLS Class of 2018: Destinations
Add a banner or two to the Hall of Banners, Gray. Pay homage to your Class Of Thread forbears (my banners for 2016, Scotti's gold one for 2017, Gray's new banner for 2018) and become part of this storied TLS tradition. That way even when this thread ends up in the "other forums not listed on the index page" folder, the many, many hours of effort you put into this will live on in the newer editions.

That sounds awesome. You are an ambitious TLSer.Gray wrote:IDK, once we had more responses I was planning on doing little mini tars instead of bullet points with a border in a certain colour (to reflect posts) and the persons name in the same colour. And your order within each school would be by number of posts.

You do you dude. Like, I won't deny that your's is probably the prettiest OP we've had (and that's saying something, considering what we had before 2016), it's just kind of unchill to not pay homage to the posters (me & scotti) who made these threads a serious thing. You might better understand what I'm getting at when you see exactly how much of your time running this thread is going to consume. But anyway, it' your OP now and I won't argue. I was just surprised at that getting axed. I feel like a retired named shitlaw partner trying to keep his name on the firm and that's not cool.

North sounds boomerish here but it's true, this thread becomes a behemoth to manage. Otherwise good job, looks slick.North wrote:You do you dude. Saltiness is there, true, but re: this particular post, don't flatter yourself. Gray is an awesome designer, so if she's willing to do it, I'd love to get a mini tar. I'd never heard of your "storied" history until today, so a personalized icon for each poster just sounds cooler than a generic banner that doesn't hold any meaning to me.North wrote:(plainly salty because I called him out for being a shitty lounge poster yesterday)nosocat wrote:That sounds awesome. I'd have thought people would be happy that there is finally an OP with some actual design skills, yet still folks want their 90s dungeon and dragon artwork to poop up the thread? Don't listen to 'm, Gray. Make things pretty.

Yeah homage is fine but it loses value if it's demanded or guilted...hereisonehand wrote:I'd have thought people would be happy that there is finally an OP with some actual design skills, yet still folks want their 90s dungeon and dragon artwork to poop up the thread? The OP is gorgeous Gray - I don't think adding the banners would take away from that but don't be compelled to do it

Yeah this is very true. The OP is beautiful Gray, I think I'm just jelly and generally like seeing my tar on stuff. Pls disregard my above gnashing of teethChemEng1642 wrote:Yeah homage is fine but it loses value if it's demanded or guilted...
