Re: University of Pennsylvania c/o 2018 Admits
I wanted to add an apparent correction to U Penn's site (https://www.law.upenn.edu/admissions/fi ... rships.php ) which lists the Silverman-Rodin as full tuition 1L and half 2L. The email also states it will have 1/3 of 3L. Not the biggest change but a slight bump for people who are looking at it. Brings total to ~110,000 by their estimate.

No reports of Toll invites yet??

I wonder if (more speaking for a couple days from now when more people have reported in) the (current and hopefully predictive) lack of other Silverman-Rodin is a good sign. Scary that only 2 get given out.tk17 wrote:No reports of Toll invites yet??

I'm kind of wondering if the Toll Public Interest Center has a hand in who is selected for interviewing, so that the interviews aren't strictly a function of the admissions office.tk17 wrote:No reports of Toll invites yet??

Maybe? The website says this:Skool wrote:I'm kind of wondering if the Toll Public Interest Center has a hand in who is selected for interviewing, so that the interviews aren't strictly a function of the admissions office.tk17 wrote:No reports of Toll invites yet??

but I wouldn't be surprised if the TPIC has a say. The fact that there have been reported invites for all the other named schollys makes me think that there is something holding back the Toll invites, but who knows?Penn Law Admissions Website wrote:The Admissions Committee selects nominees for consideration from among candidates for admission to Penn Law.

And if the anything other than your essay is considered after being invited. Also does this mean I am no longer in the running for getting invited to the Levy Scholarship?
Any information would be really useful, cannot find much with my quick look online.
I got the same email. And here I thought I was done with application essays. Shouldn't be too bad though.
Also this is a pretty interesting method of money distribution (1L 60k, 2L 30k, 3L 20k). No idea why they would do it this way but I kind of dig it.

In order to let you structure your loans in such a way to reduce the accumulation of interest, I'm guessing.pto1993 wrote:Auxilio wrote:I just got a Silvernman-Rodin scholarship invitation to apply. +1. At least it's better than 4/1 deadlines at Duke and Cornell, which are going to be killer...LetsGoMets wrote:Levy invite. That 4/15 deadline is indeed frustrating.
Congrats to everyone with invites today!

reading through last years threads looks like the only reported person who didn't get a named scholarship was a guy who didn't write the essay :0

Anyone know if it's possible to receive a named invite later on if you didn't get one today?

No one has reported a Toll yet I believe. But if not today or tomorrow I do not like your choices, since they are due on the 15thRis19 wrote:Anyone know if it's possible to receive a named invite later on if you didn't get one today?

Levy invite! Kinda bummed about the acceptance deadline/extra work but I think that's unforgivably lazy.
Congrats to all the other scholarships ITT.

Wilson invite! Was I the only one who had a RC fail and thought they got the scholarship, freaked out, called their parents/friends, and then realized it was a nomination?

Re: University of Pennsylvania c/o 2018 Admits
I meant my email for Silverman says 15th (and I think it is the same for other invitations today) so I do not like the chances of another wave of invitations to those groups. Toll is a slightly different process I believe though, and no one has gotten an email from them I believe.Skool wrote:Your email says Toll essays are due on the 15th?Auxilio wrote:No one has reported a Toll yet I believe. Just got a Toll Scholarship email. It looked like a general blast, so I'm not sure if it means anything or not. I'm going to apply regardless.
