This so much. Unless it's a 10 page+ supreme court monster, anything under 5 pages takes like 30 mins to read/highlight and 10 mins to brief (which is just transcribing what I highlighted almost), so I just do 'em the night before or even before class. I'm trying to minimize my time spent briefing and reading cases and spending more time outlining, specifically by synthesizing class notes and cross referencing with recommended supplements/2L outlines. That's my strategy anyway. See you all at median.

How I feel about Civ Pro, except with classes. I hate the Socratic Method so, so much.

If my profs didn't use the socratic method I wouldn't read the cases at all. Just would go directly to the supplements. God that would be a lot easier.

I like it. It makes class fun and more like a game. Without it I'd definitely be falling asleep in Con.

I had a reading for civ pro that was only 7 pages, and it was amazing. Most of the reading that I get stuck with are ~15 pages, so it ends up being 1.5 hrs of reading + 30 min for notes.
LRW is pretty chill. I got great feedback on the first draft of my closed note memo, which felt great. Really feel the need to do well in LRW because I think having a strong writing sample is the key to job placement if I end up with median grades.

I was relying on this saving me too but one guy made us write our name phonetically and the other uses first names.

The only class I had to do this in was my Torts class..... are you in my Torts class?

I had to do it in Legal Practice and Torts. Did you discuss trolleys in Torts?

Don't stress-- you'll be fine when you get cold called! It's really not that bad.

Thanks for the reassurance! I'm actually looking forward to the chance to fail miserably in front of a large group of people. It builds character, and maybe I can get a few "sympathy outlines" out of the deal

my Ks professor thinks class ends 5 mins later than it actually does

somehow people packing up on time every day and the noise in the hallway from all other classes getting out haven't given her a clue

one of my profs has been consistently going 10 minutes late per day
