I know a lot of you are waiting around for scholarship emails and that's been the focus of the board lately but I figured I'd start throwing out cool DC stuff as I find it.

For those into physical fitness and the social side of physical fitness - the November Project is in DC. They are a grassroots organization - that do some really cools stuff - think pub crawl without the pubs and with exercise. :) They operate year round and in any weather. In DC, they meet every Wednesday at 5:30 and 6:30 am at the Lincoln Memorial steps. Kind of a cool way to stay in shape, meet some like-minded fitness folks and get to know DC while burning some calories.

Been in Virginia Beach a few times - lots of fun! I heard nothing compares to the DC events though. Excited to try!

The basement situation is super common, seems like it offers a good way to live for relatively cheap in more expensive neighborhoods. Some are "more" underground than others / offer more or less window space, and I think it also depends in part on getting along with the owners (since they're usually living above you). Definitely a situation where you want to go see the place first, but definitely a legit living situation as long as you don't mind the limited windows. We toured a bunch of them while looking for apartments but ended up deciding we'd rather be above ground.

So, apparently we have access to both the Law Center gym and the undergrad campus gym. Has anyone seen either of these?

Worked out at the law center gym during the first ASW- state of the art facility. I went at about 7pm and there wasn't a soul in there.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
