You can also see if the Cert & Transcript boxes are ticked in your status checker.

Re: Harvard Law School Class of 2018
great idea, i'll check with my UG as well, and for the record, i just called HLS admissions office, they ARE inundated at this point and they are a little bit behind, also, as soons as they process the transcript and certification, they will update the information on the status checker.wonka wrote:I got the email quickly. It was 5 days after I got the email from my UG that they'd sent the form, and it was mailed across the country. That said, I submitted my stuff a few months back. They're probably inundated at this point. Maybe check with your UG?kadyevna wrote:thanks, how long did it take before you got the email?? my boxes were not ticked, i think i'll contact them if i dont get any news soonwonka wrote:I got a confirmation email for the college certification but not for the transcript. I don't remember where it is, but fyi, you can get your picture taken while you're on campus. I highly recommend getting it done before then (and making sure it's a good one because every professor you have will see it on their seating chart until you graduate), but if you're stressed, you can wait.Mack.Hambleton wrote:Upload a photo for your Harvard University ID by mid-August

If your insurance covers it (it should) get it. Meningitis is nasty and really not worth the risk. Boston is a town full of people living in dorms, the exposure risk is certainly there.asdlfjsafn wrote:Meningococcal disease... Is this something y'all got the immunization for? i was literally about to contact them about this issue, thanks so much for posting!wonka wrote:Just a PSA for those of you doing on campus housing: I called the housing office with some logistical questions pertaining to the whole 1-day window to make a 3,000 mile move thing. The August 26 move-in date is non-negotiable, but you can mail packages to yourself before you get there. They'll collect them and have them waiting for you in your room, apparently. I was told we'd be getting more details in early August!
I thought this info was super helpful in alleviating the move stress.

FedEx everything to yourself two weeks beforehand. I don't know why you'd do anything else.
Use the largest FedEx boxes.

Do all leases with HUHousing begin September 1st? If so, what do people usually do for housing from orientation (August 27th) until they move in?

If anyone's looking to get a jump on 1L stuff, the below can be a really good resource:
https://learnleo.com
It's free and collaborative, and stores everything in the cloud. It also comes in handy for EIP stuff (what I'm using it for right now).
