A few examinees have asked, so I am posting my projected July 2019 NY bar release date. I think NY results will be released Tuesday Oct 30th at midnight. This will be 91 days from the end date of the exam. Following are past release dates based on the number of takers. I expect J19 to have more takers than J18 which is why I am leaning towards 91 days instead of 90.
PAST RESULTS
July 2014: 12:00AM Tuesday on 10/28/14 (total of 90 days based on 11,195 examinees)
July 2015: 12:00AM Tuesday on 10/27/15 (total of 90 days based on 10,671 examinees)
July 2016: 12:00AM Friday on 10/28/16 (total of 93 days based on 10,297 examinees)
July 2017: 10:30PM Monday on 10/24/17 (total of 90 days based on 9,932 examinees)
July 2018: 8:15AM Tuesday on 10/23/18 (total of 90 days based on 9,679 examinees)
PROJECTION:
July 2019: 12:00AM Wednesday on 10/30/19 (total of 91 days based on estimated 10,000 examinees)
I would like to think the bar examiners will release at a time that impacts examinees the least (i.e. midnight). I have heard from examinees who complained about receiving their results while driving (they were released 8:15 AM last July) and I would hope the bar examiners wouldn’t do this again (some examinees who fail are devastated and then have to deal with being at driving and then being at work).
