Asking for a friend out of school a few years and planning to take California
Took New York a few years ago and got a 166 scaled mbe score. I hear some people fail the CA lawyers bar because their old MBE score isn’t high enough. Is that MBE score good enough to use and have a cushion in case they flop on the essays?
Thanks!

That's a very solid MBE score. I don't think with 166 scaled, that's something to be concerned about at all.

+1 With that scaled score, you'd pass even if you bombed every essay, AND the PT (I'm talking 50 average).SilvermanBarPrep wrote:That's a very solid MBE score. I don't think with 166 scaled, that's something to be concerned about at all.

Effectively, you'd have to try to fail - and you still won't
