How much does Themis charge firms? Forum

If you enroll with Themis and they bill your firm directly, how much do they bill it for (for NY bar)? Does anybody who recently used Themis and billed their firm know?

I can't find this information anywhere, Themis reps are incredibly evasive about it, but it matters quite a bit to the tax hit, which is one factor I'm considering in picking a bar course.

I am not sure about Themis. I used Barbri, and I just provided my name and asked them to contact my firm. I think Barbri reached out to my firm directly and got paid via accounting department(I think they have a lower price for the law firms).

its 1800 for the course and something around 2400 for the tech package with the ipad

Pretty sure all of the companies (Themis, Barbri, Kaplan) charge law firms more than what they charge (non-PI) students paying out of pocket. So ask. You'll likely get hit with a 1099 for the cost, so this could add up to real money (several hundred dollars or more) in taxes.
