Texas Bar Exam July 2018
I’m taking the bar exam in July. I have been out of law school for a few years, so I need the extra help of a bar review course. The amount of the material covered by the exam is daunting compared to when I sat for Maryland. I would appreciate opinions on taking either the Kaplan or Themis course, because I already have Barbri books and Bar Flash. Is it possible to get them to negotiate price? If I go the online route for the bar exam course is there a way to connect to others taking the exam. Also are there any particular study tactics you recommend? For example, did you study using Board of Examiners essay answers versus Barbri etc.? Thanks all!

Hey! I surely can't really advice anything yet, still waiting for my results, and I'm a foreigner, had really low chances. But I found the ИДУ essays very helpful, they do tend to repeat the pattern a lot in my opinion, so would definitely read/review all previous years. Also the Family law grader has just changed, her first exam was Feb2018, definitely read Feb18 and July18 essays for her to see what she wants people to answer.christinabear4 wrote:I’m taking the bar exam in July. I don't know anything about Kaplan, but my friends who took Themis were very happy. Again, we are waiting for results still, so who knows..
I would say also do previous Civ Pro/Crim Pro P&E questions posted on the ИДУ website. Especially the Civil one sometimes repeats almost verbatim if you do enough of those.

Results in July have consistently come out a day before the projected results date. Have every reason to believe that that trend will hold this year.

I passed homies; I passed. By a good margin too. I can solomnly swear I was not totally sober for any part of it either. #GodBless
