GA Feb 2018
Hey Guys, I am starting this thread for folks who will be taking the Feb 2018 GA bar. I am hoping to use this platform to discuss our strategies for the upcoming bar. I was not successful on the July bar and am hoping that we all can chip in ideas and tips about our preparation. What bar review course are you taking? What supplements are you using? By what margin did you fail? What do you think is your weakest link-MBE or MEE? What strategies are you using to make your preparation stronger this time? Are you a retaker or first time applicant? The statistics for repeaters passing the GA bar does not look promising to me and I would love to hear from fellow applicants retaking the bar. If you've passed the bar, please share your preparation stories with us. For now, eyes on the prize!

Checking in.
First time taking the GA bar. Has anyone received a notification of whether they were approved by Character and Fitness? Also, in what scenarios would your Character and Fitness application be denied? Asking for a friend..

Re: GA Feb 2018
A few thoughts, for what they're worth. I passed GA in July.
1. Stick to the MBE subjects. A lot of the essays seem to test MBE concepts. Don't waste time studying stuff like Secured Transactions; it's almost never tested, and if it is, no one will know wtf to do, so the curve will be super generous. Take that time and hammer things like Civ Pro and Evidence.
2. Format your essays in the clearest way possible. Remember the bar graders only have a few minutes to grade each essay, so if you make them dig through a dense blob of text, they're probably going to skim. And they might assume your analysis is worse if the formatting looks like garbage. Format the shit out of it and make the train of thought as easy to follow as possible. Use bold text, underlining, whatever.
3. Devote most of your study time to the MBE. GA is a 50% MBE state, so if you can get a 150ish or above, you're basically in autopass territory.

Passed July 2017.
Tested subjects: PR, GA Civ Pro, Contracts, and Property. I’d def study up on crim/evidence. Can’t imagine that won’t be tested.

I think we're not allowed to share the content of it all.

Re: GA Feb 2018
I was doing just fine until this week... Now I'm starting to relive questions and answers. I think I'm going into some weird panic mode right now WHYYYYYY
And what's silly is I logged into my bar account as though somethings going to be there before Friday. This is torture. Anyway 3 more days. How's everyone feeling??
