Best way to use BarBri
I got BarBri for a hefty discount. However, I've heard a few negative things about it, namely: lectures are not useful, practice questions are not real MBE questions... Should I even watch the videos? I study well by just reading through stuff and writing outlines. What do you guys think is the best strategy to bar prep? I wouldn't mind purchasing Adaptibar or Critical Pass, etc.

Rush through the lectures in 1.5x speed. Do lots of practice. I liked adaptibar. PM me your email for $30 discount offer.
Mini conviser is very good.

Do not watch the lectures. Like, at all.
Do not use the Barbri MBE questions.
Study the hell out of the Conviser Mini Review, supplement anything you need with the larger outlines, and then get Adaptibar or Ameribar for real MBE practice.

I disagree with the above. Watch the lectures at least once. At minimum, it's going to give you examples of the application of the law. I also think the questions more than adequately prepare you for the exam. It is nonsensical to not use the materials that are provided to you and then go out and drop money on other questions that are likely outdated. Sure, the other materials can be used to supplement but you can easily pass without them.

Seconded. I don't get the BarBri hate on this forum - I basically followed the program day-to-day without any supplemental material (and only completed like 85% and 45% of the MBE/MEE material respectively) and passed with some room to spare. The actual MBE questions are structured a little differently, but not that differently, and the actual material tested is a difficulty level below what BarBri prepares you to tackle.MrT wrote:I disagree with the above. More than you'll ever need. The only time I would recommend picking up supplemental questions is when you get to the end of the program and the BarBri questions become impossible. I found it demoralizing so I used real questions so I'd have a better idea of how I was doing.Harvard_Naw wrote:deepseapartners wrote:Seconded. I'm also a trust the system person. Maybe get adaptibar and that strategy and tactics book if you feel like it.
