Hey Everyone,
I am a bar exam re-taker (failed the July 2015 NY Bar Exam), so this will be my first time taking the UBE in the State of New York. A little background information, after law school I took a position as a Compliance Officer at a large financial institution -- so I have been putting the bar exam off since it is not required at my current role. However, I would like to eventually work at a law firm or transition into the legal department as In-House Counsel at my current employer (this might be difficult since they prefer prior law firm experience as a practicing attorney).
With the bar exam slowly approaching I figured now is the best time to crack the books since I'll be working full-time (40-50 hours per week). Currently I still have all my books from my Barbri course (NY Edition pre-UBE), just purchased the UBE/MEE Smartbar Essay Prep Outline and Emanuel's Strategies & Tactics for the MBE. I'm still deciding whether to purchase the Adaptibar MBE or Kaplan's MBE Qbank. Also, I'm unsure the best place to purchase or download material to practice for the MEE. I've read through the forum and I still can't decide. Any suggestions?
Finally, any tips from re-takers that were working full-time while studying would be great!
Good luck everyone!

Re: July 2017 UBE Discussion
Regarding the MEE, definitely purchase the released essays available on the NCBE website. Knowing the law from your outlines, and knowing how the law has been tested in the past as well as the way that the graders like to see the law analyzed (from the released essays) is a really great formula for scoring high on the essay portion of the exam.
