IL people, they've updated the scoring memo for the February Bar:
https://www.ilbaradmissions.org/july-2016-scoring-memo
It says July in the links but it is dated for TOMORROW March 31st.

Illinois takers, here is the link to the percentile breakdown: https://www.ilbaradmissions.org/feb-201 ... ent-charts
I replaced the score report from last year with 2017 and removed 2016. Historically it is released the day before but I don't know if they updated IBAB yet.
I don't know if this is good for us or just bad overrall but the MBE score went down. Highest scaled is 165.

If I'm assessing this right, even with a top scaled score of 165 I estimate between 40-45% takers failed.

No I don't believe so. The understanding your score letter is dated for tomorrow and it comes with your email.mjr0773 wrote:Any chance results come out today now that this is posted?virgoyum wrote:Illinois takers, here is the link to the percentile breakdown: https://www.ilbaradmissions.org/feb-201 ... ent-charts

How?! This is inconsistent with past year. I'm guessing mid to low 70% pass rate. 55% is much too low.virgoyum wrote:If I'm assessing this right, even with a top scaled score of 165 I estimate between 40-45% takers failed.

we know for a fact that at least 40% failed. so definitely not a mid to low 70% pass rate.Anoni-mous wrote:How?! This is inconsistent with past year. Re: ALL THINGS ILLINOIS BAR EXAM
I felt confident I would pass until seeing those percentile equivalents...now I feel sick. It's so ridiculous that they can take away 15 point opportunities from us but keep the passing score the same.

I've taken this damn thing multiple times. New percentile charts are terrifying, to say the least.
If I don't make it again, I'm done with IL for good. Especially with the minimum score going up.

Re: ALL THINGS ILLINOIS BAR EXAM
MBE scores aren't that much different that last Feb adminstration. It looks like there are lower scores at the end of the distribution, but that could just be one or two people:Anderson88 wrote:I felt confident I would pass until seeing those percentile equivalents...now I feel sick. Re: ALL THINGS ILLINOIS BAR EXAM
Last year an MBE scaled score of 165 was 93rd percentile. This year it's 99th. Something's going on here and it smells like 25 pretest questions but then again I'm looking at the essay averages and top scaled is also 165 so hell if know.Anoni-mous wrote:How?! I am in the same boat. Even before seeing these awful numbers, I decided that this is my 3rd and last time taking it. This test is so mentally, emotionally & financially draining... I need to move on with my life!lawst_ wrote:I've taken this damn thing multiple times. New percentile charts are terrifying, to say the least.

Re: ALL THINGS ILLINOIS BAR EXAM
Looking at it from another angle, in 2016 if you scored at the 50 percentile on both days you should have gotten about a 269. This year that same result gets about a 267... so at least that is relatively consistent.virgoyum wrote:Last year an MBE scaled score of 165 was 93rd percentile. This year it's 99th. Re: ALL THINGS ILLINOIS BAR EXAM
Yeah, you can't compare February and July administrations and conclude there is something different about the test. Those are two very different test-taking populations.umichman wrote:According to the links on this page, a scaled score of 165 last February was in the 99th percentile?virgoyum wrote:Last year an MBE scaled score of 165 was 93rd percentile.
