50 hour pro bono requirement for NY bar

Post by Bass » Fri Jan 27, 2017 5:12 am

NY Bar aspirant and non-US law school graduate here. I need some tips on how to fulfil the 50 hour pro bono requirement for the New York bar admission.

Is there a pro bono office I should contact for this sort of thing? Where do US JDs and LLMs usually fulfil this requirement? Is there a full time pro bono programme I should sign up for?

Many thanks in advance! :D

any organization that does free legal help will do. Find a few that deal with whatever area of law you are interested in and contact their pro bono manager to see if they can use your help.
