Do you have to get employment affidavits from federal judges notarized?

I'm applying to the NY bar, and I heard somewhere that federal judges don't have to notarize the employment affidavits they sign. But is this true? I'm first dept., by the way.

I had the same question, but my judge got it notarized. Honestly, there should be someone in the courthouse that is a notary; it should not be too much of an issue to have it notarized.
