I went to law school in NYC. I was massacred on the NY Bar exam (February, July 2014). I flunked the February 2015 NJ Bar exam. I passed the July 2015 NJ Bar by the skin of my teeth.
After searching for months, I finally found a job in Jersey. However, as added insurance and leverage, I want to get certified in another state. I'm not taking NY again- I don't want to be the reason why my law school has a low passage rate. I'm contemplating taking the PA Bar.
1) Is it a difficult exam? From what I understand, it's not a UBE jurisdiction. I flunked NY because they're extremely anal when it comes to grading. I passed NJ because they're fair graders. I don't know what to expect in PA.
2) I want to use Barbri materials to prepare for the state-specific section, but I don't want to spend $3,000 for the entire Barbri course. Is there any way to get the books without signing up for the full course?
