Nightmares have started

Post by LawDawg2016 » Thu Aug 04, 2016 10:29 am

Ugggghhh...I was a second time bar taker in July. I was fine for the remainder of the month. I couldn't sleep last night because of nightmares...it's gonna be a long couple of months.

I've already had 2 or 3 nightmares where I'm back in the testing center taking the bar exam. There's just no escaping how terrible this is.

I remember my post bar exam nightmares. They always consisted of a common them-- that I was somehow unable to get to the testing center and missed the exam. Car problems, car accident, over slept, ect.

Just had one the other night. It was the first part of the MBE, and I was taking it at a kitchen table and everyone was talking to me and distracting me as I fell further and further behind on time. At a certain point I realize it won't be possible to pass with how much time I've lost and how far behind I am.

What a miserable experience this whole process is.

I recently met up with an old friend who had failed the bar his first time taking it several years ago. He gave me some advice after I failed the first time. However, when we met up he couldn't really recall details of his bar experience - he just said that it sucked but that it was just one of those times that he had to get through and that he's moved on. He's a practicing attorney now and is successful.

This, too, shall pass.

Nightmares are definitely in full force. Worst part is that I am a repeat taker, and this test just did not seem fair this time around. (NY UBE)

I had that same dream....and I was in the car crying and frustrated....it was awful.

The night before the exam I slept with all my lights on because I was so scared it would happen.

I was a second time taker (MBE only) and mine are that I failed again. It is truly agonizing.

I had nightmares the last two nights. The funny thing is I'm actually thinking about the exam less and enjoying myself more the past few days.

As time passes, the doubt grows in your mind....

I've been there. The feeling immediately after finishing the bar is what should rely on (assuming you adequately prepared).

I had a bar exam nightmare last night...it was so ridiculous, too. Almost too embarrassed to share, but maybe it'll get some laughs. I couldn't figure out how to bubble in the multiple choice answers on the scantron (in my dream it was very complicated). The proctors were all people from my class who passed the bar, and the room was very noisy. I was running around trying to find a quiet room to take the test in. Craziness.

wow, so this IS a thing.

I had one last night too. It was really weird. I was taking a bar exam outdoors, while everyone was indoors in a traditional-ish testing location. When I had something like 10 or 15 more MBEs to finish, it started rain-storming on me. I ran indoors, but never actually finished my exam. There were classmates who graduated before me also taking the exam, (people a year ahead who I know took the exam in Feb or last July), along w/ people from my class. As we were all walking out and leaving, I was trying to explain to them what happened, and how I still had the MBE book w/ me too to prove it. Then I was about to email a former prof to tell them what had happened.

I fuckin woke up thinking like "omg, I have to let people know that I didn't actually finish!" :|

I had a dream this week that the MBE was not just multiple choice but also fill in the blank. It was horrible.

I shouldn't laugh at your nightmare...but that is so bad it's hilarious. Can you even imagine? I would probably wake up swinging.

When I read about the nightmare, I was actually weighing whether I would prefer fill in the blank or multiple choice. At least for fill in the blank we don't have to write in any reasoning and would probably be more black letter than that nuance crap in the MBE.

I woke up pretty pissed about the whole thing. They were really obscure fill in the blanks, and the sentences gave little to no contexts. In the dream, I was also having a hard time spelling the words in the blanks. All of it was horrible.

This is also my third state, so I thought my brain would be used to this waiting period by now. Apparently not.

Had one the other night where somehow I took an extended bathroom break and regular breaks in the middle of the MBE. Proctor called time and I left 40 questions blank. Tried erasing something after proctor called time and the proctor took my exam and ripped it up.

Here I am trying to tell everyone to relax....I had a dream last night that one of the essays was RP and I wrote two paragraphs on periodic tenancy and didn't have anything else to write. Oddly enough, I thought about this thread first, and then realized I wasn't even sure there was a LL/T issue in the problem
